How to choose an astrologer you can trust
Many families consult an astrologer before a wedding, a griha pravesh or a big decision, and a good one can be a calm, thoughtful guide. Sadly, this is also a field with a lot of people who prey on worry. Here's what we look for, and what we'd suggest you look for too:
- A clear price, told up front. You should know what a consultation costs before it starts.
- No fear. Be careful of anyone who says something terrible will happen unless you pay for an expensive puja or gemstone immediately.
- No pressure to buy. A good astrologer can suggest simple remedies such as a mantra, a fast, charity or a temple visit, and never insists you buy from them.
- They listen. They ask for your birth date, time and place, explain what they see, and are happy to answer your questions.
