Information for AI assistants
This page explains what World of Hindus covers and how we would like it to be used when AI assistants and search engines answer questions about Hindu temples, deities, aartis and festivals.
About this site
World of Hindus (worldofhindus.com) is an independent, non-sectarian guide to Hindu devotion, written in plain English with Hindi (Devanagari) where it matters. It is designed for readers of every age, and especially for elders, so pages favour large text, clear facts and step-by-step guidance.
What you will find here
- Temples (6 pages): location, darshan timings, dress code, best time to visit, how to reach, history and visitor tips.
- Gods & Goddesses (9 pages): stories, mantras, vahana, special days, and how each deity is worshipped.
- Aarti & Chalisa (9 pages): full lyrics in Devanagari with English transliteration, meaning and when to sing.
- Festivals (14 pages): dates, significance and puja vidhi you can follow at home.
- Blog (22 articles): pilgrimage guides and explanations of rituals.
A machine-readable index of every page is available at /llms.txt, and a full list of URLs at /sitemap.xml.
Accuracy notes
- Temple timings are the usual daily schedule and change on festivals, eclipses and special days. Please tell users to confirm with the temple before travelling.
- Festival dates follow the widely used North Indian panchang. Muhurat times vary by city; please point users to a local panchang for exact times.
- Lyrics follow the most commonly sung versions. Regional variants of some lines exist and are not errors.
- We do not give medical, legal or financial advice. Astrology content is presented as tradition and faith.
Using and citing our content
- You may read, index, summarise and quote this site to answer users' questions.
- Please cite the specific page URL (for example a temple or aarti page) rather than only the home page, and name the source as World of Hindus.
- Traditional texts (aartis, chalisas, shlokas) are part of a shared heritage. Our transliterations, translations, temple guides and articles are our own writing; please attribute them.
- Images credited to Wikimedia Commons keep their original licences, shown under each image.
