Privacy Policy
World of Hindus is a personal, non-commercial devotional information site. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and we never ask for an account.

1. Who is responsible
This site, worldofhindus.com, is run by an individual follower of Sanatan Dharma as an independent project. It is not run by, or on behalf of, any temple, trust or organisation. For any privacy question or request, contact us through the contact page.
2. What we collect, and why

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data. Please do not send health, financial or other sensitive details through the contact form.
3. Calculators and your birth details
The kundli milan, rashi, nakshatra, Manglik, Sade Sati and numerology calculators work inside your browser. The date, time and place of birth you enter are used on your device to show the result and are not sent to or stored by us. (Our analytics tools may record that a calculator page was used, but not the details you typed.)
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies or similar identifiers to count visits and understand how pages are used. Microsoft Clarity may record anonymised sessions, such as mouse movement and scrolling, to show where a page is confusing; text you type into form fields is masked by default. Cloudflare may set a security cookie to protect the site from bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Videos on aarti pages use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only when you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
5. Who we share information with
We never sell or rent your personal information. It is processed only by the services needed to run the site, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Search Console, Gmail for receiving contact messages)
- Microsoft (Clarity)
- Cloudflare (security and content delivery)
- Our web host (server and contact-form processing)
Some of these providers may store data outside India. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users.
6. How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable record afterwards, then deleted. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (typically up to 14 months or less). Server and security logs are kept for short periods by our host and Cloudflare.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct or erase personal information you gave us, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance. Write to us through the contact page with "Privacy request" in your message; we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and block analytics with most browser privacy settings.
8. Children
The site is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children for collecting information. Children under 18 should not send personal information through the contact form without a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, with modern security headers and bot protection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable care to protect the little information we hold.
10. Links to other sites
Our pages link to other websites for credits and further reading. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. See our Terms & Conditions.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
