Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms before using World of Hindus. By using this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are
World of Hindus (worldofhindus.com, "the site", "we", "us") is an independent, non-commercial information platform created and run by a follower of Sanatan Dharma for like-minded devotees. It is a personal devotional project.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any temple, mandir, math, ashram, trust, board, sampradaya, religious organisation, government body, astrologer, or commercial group. Names of temples, deities, saints, festivals, trusts and places appear only to identify and describe them. Nothing on the site should be read as an official statement of, or on behalf of, any of them.
2. Information only, from public sources
Everything on the site is published for general information and devotional interest only. It is compiled from publicly available sources, including scriptures and traditional texts, published temple information, government and tourism notices, encyclopaedias, and astronomical calculation.
- No guarantee of accuracy. We try hard to be accurate, but information may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Temple timings, darshan rules, entry fees, festival dates, travel routes and distances change often and without notice.
- Verify before you act. Always confirm timings, dates, muhurat, travel arrangements and rules with the temple, the official authority, your family priest or a local panchang before relying on them, especially before travelling, fasting or fixing a ceremony.
- Traditions differ. Rituals, lyrics, stories and dates vary between regions, sampradayas and families. Our presentation of any tradition is one sincere account, not the only correct one.
3. Panchang, muhurat and astrology
The panchang, festival dates, muhurat times and calculators (including kundli milan, rashi, nakshatra, Manglik dosha, Sade Sati and numerology) are produced by automated astronomical calculation and traditional rules. They are provided for information and interest only and are not professional, astrological, religious, medical, financial, legal, marital or psychological advice. Do not make important decisions about marriage, health, money, travel, legal matters or safety based on them. Results may differ from other panchangs and from an astrologer's reading.
4. Health, fasting and travel
Descriptions of fasts, pujas, pilgrimages, treks and high-altitude journeys are general. Consult a doctor before fasting or undertaking strenuous or high-altitude travel, particularly for elders, children, pregnant women and anyone with a medical condition. You travel and take part in any activity entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for crowds, weather, road conditions, closures, accommodation, transport or the conduct of any third party.
5. No endorsements; third-party links
Mentions of temples, ashrams, organisations, people, films, shops, hotels, services, websites or products are for information and are not endorsements. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and credit only and are marked nofollow. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices or safety of any third-party site. Visiting them is at your own risk.
6. Intellectual property and credits

The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all such warranties are disclaimed.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, World of Hindus and its creator, contributors and volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss or damage of any kind, including loss of money, time, data, travel costs, missed events, personal injury, or emotional or spiritual distress, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the site or any linked site, even if advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum extent the law permits.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the site or these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
